How can MCU/SoC chips enter a safe state through safety redundancy design to ensure the safety of ECU systems when hardware or system failures occur randomly? This is the main question that needs to be answered when traditional chips evolve into automotive standard chips. ASILD's automotive functional safety process certification marks the gradual construction of a product development and process system layout that meets the ISO 26262 standard for Hangshun chips. The supporting research and development capabilities and management capabilities have also been verified and improved, striving to achieve the highest standards of safety and reliability for Hangshun's automotive grade SoC products, aligning with international advanced levels, and laying a solid foundation for China's automotive grade chips to enter the international automotive supply system and participate in international competition.
Regarding the ISO 26262 standard
The ISO 26262 standard is a globally recognized functional safety standard for automobiles, covering the entire lifecycle of products, including functional safety management, concept stage development, system stage development, hardware stage development, software stage development, support processes, safety analysis, product release, and all other aspects.
According to the degree of safety risk, ISO26262 determines the safety integrity level of vehicles classified as ASIL D/C/B/A for systems or system components, with D level having the highest safety level and A level having the lowest safety level. The higher the level, the higher the functional safety required for the design, including coverage of faults, traceability of design processes, and proof of reliability of design software.
